
Port of Seattle Celebrates Fifth Year of Business Accelerator Program, Opens 2025 Applications with Northwest Mountain MSDC
SEATTLE — June 3, 2025 — The Port of Seattle is proud to launch the fifth annual Business Accelerator Program, with applications now open for the 2025 cohort. This milestone year, in partnership with the Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council (NMMSDC) strengthens the Port’s commitment to development, growth, and empowerment of diverse businesses in the construction and construction related industries.

2025 Business Accelerator Program Supports Diverse Businesses
Running from September to December 2025, the Business Accelerator Program will support diverse businesses in Port-related industries, such as architectural and engineering services, construction, and energy by providing technical expertise to help participants enhance operations, access new markets, and build lasting partnerships for accelerated success and sustainable growth.
To support accelerated success and growth, the 2025 Business Accelerator Program will deliver a thoughtfully curated collection of tools and support designed to drive long-term growth. Cohort associates will participate in industry-specific workshops and training sessions, and mentorship provided by seasoned professionals.
In addition, the Accelerator Program will provide direct access to Port procurement professionals, offering cohort businesses valuable insights into effectively navigating the contracting process. Participants will also have opportunities to build long-term business relationships through peer-to-peer networking, supporting the Port’s goal of developing, growing, and empowering diverse businesses.

Founded in 1978, the Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to drive economic value by equalizing opportunities. As an affiliate of the National MSDC, the Council certifies minority-owned businesses and provides access to supplier development, supply chain inclusion, networking events, and formal introductions. The Council serves the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
