DESCRIPTION:The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) is excited to announce that the Washington Encouraging Diversity\, Growth\, and Equity (EDGE) pilot program is officially live and accepting applications! They designed this innovative program to support small businesses\, paving the way for more opportunities in public works contracting with the state of Washington. \nContractors accepted into the program will receive access to Washington EDGE-exclusive bid opportunities on select contracts identified below $1 million. \nTo be eligible for the program\, public works firms must have: \n\nA gross revenue averaging no more than $5 million over the last three years.\nAll necessary licenses to perform public works projects.\nExperience in construction work for at least three years.\nNo suspensions or debarments in the past two years.\n\nWashington EDGE offers: \n\nExclusive training: Access to valuable training to help your business navigate the complexities of state public works contracting.\nNetworking opportunities: Connect with DES to grow your business and expand your reach.\nResources for success: Tools and technical assistance to help your business thrive in the competitive procurement process.\n\nWhy is it important?\nWashington EDGE is part of the state’s ongoing commitment to create an inclusive and equitable economy.
