NWMMSDC and Port of Seattle Kick Off the 2026 Business Accelerator Program

Nure is Founder and CEO of Toll International, a New York based infrastructure consultancy specializing in the management and delivery of complex capital construction programs. A licensed Professional Engineer and MIT alumnus with nearly three decades of experience, his work has contributed to major programs including the World Trade Center redevelopment, the LaGuardia Airport modernization, and the New York City subway system. He also serves as Chair of Learning for the Entrepreneurs’ Organization Latin American and Caribbean Bridge Chapter.

UWD PreBuild grew out of a home repair project Kimberly and her husband took on themselves. That work led to relationships with contractors, offers to handle demolition, and eventually a full business, now operating as a union contractor for about six years with a growing footprint in commercial and public sector work across its Kirkland, WA and Tigard, OR offices.

Sumathi brings a background in operations, supply chain, and economic research, including five years at Amazon, to her role leading Infinite Sum Modeling, which she took ownership of in 2021. The firm specializes in economic, trade, and public policy consulting for government clients and international organizations, and Sumathi is looking to the Accelerator to help build the firm’s presence in the U.S. public sector.

Grace initially envisioned a career designing bridges and skyscrapers, but an internship in capital projects at a public agency set her on a different path: serving the community through improving essential infrastructure. She later transitioned from public agency work into private consulting, sharpening her skills as an engineer and leader with the help of compassionate mentors and supportive colleagues along the way. Grace is now focused on developing others through technical expertise and flexible leadership, while working to break the glass ceiling for female engineers and business owners and continuing to sharpen her own technical skills.

Kate founded Quantum Energy Group in 2019, building on a background spanning aviation, entrepreneurship, commercial roofing, operations, and construction management. The woman owned, union labor firm specializes in commercial and residential glazing, windows, doors, skylights, and building envelope systems.

Kelly is CEO of KCD Trucking, a freight and logistics services company based in Seattle, WA.

Mathew leads JME Partners, a Vancouver, WA-based firm active for nearly 30 years in real estate development, infrastructure, and wireless telecom. A U.S. Navy veteran with a PMP certification, he previously worked on the Port of Seattle’s baggage optimization program and the Tacoma Public Schools bond program.  Matthew is currently taking a remote MIT course on AI to keep building his skill set.

Marivic is a Senior Project Manager at Romar7, a certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE).  Romar7 offers design services and project management solutions. Alongside Principal Rodin Punsalan, she helps lead the firm’s work delivering expert project management and design services to clients across the region.

Mizan holds a master’s and PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Washington State University, and spent 1995 to 2012 as Vice President of Water Resources at AECOM before serving as Director at Alden through 2019. Mizan founded RIE Consultants to offer technical services at a competitive cost while creating opportunities for other engineers. He adopts a mentorship approach rather than a traditional boss-employee dynamic. 

Chao co-founded Vets Power Electric in 2024 after serving in the military alongside his business partner and completing the electrician’s apprenticeship program, becoming journeyman-level electricians. The Federal Way, WA-based firm handles residential and commercial electrical and HVAC work.
